UI development

We have been redoing the UI after getting some feedback from playtesters. One of players biggest gripes was that they couldn’t tell the difference between the level select and the actual game. Due to this we have decided to revert to a simpler more minimalistic level select with smooth animations. All of this was done using the Unity 5 canvas. What do you think?

While I was at it I have also been touching up the pause menu and main menu. Check out the screen shots!

Starting Up!

Welcome to the AlgoRhythmic Game Dev Blog.  We are a group of 10 comprised of coders, artists and musicians. Currently we are working on the game DJ Gone Rogue. It is a rhythm game set to ship on mobile this upcoming summer 0f 2014. I’m Fernando the lead game designer. Stay tuned for updates on how we implemented some of the mechanics and some of the tough decisions we have already made. This blog is meant to inspire and teach other game developers through our mistakes and triumphs.
